If you are a dedicated Pharmacy professional with experience working in a clinical trials environment and have knowledge of GCP, we want to hear from you.

Our team works across a broad range of commercial, academic, and Imperial-sponsored trials, screening and delivering a variety of specialised therapies to patients. With circa 300 active trials managed by passionate professionals, you'll find an exciting landscape with the emerging development of personalised and precision medicines.

Be a part of our team, a close-knit group spanning Charing Cross Hospital, Hammersmith Hospital, St Marys Hospital, Queen Charlottes & Chelsea Hospital, and the Western Eye Hospital. Act as liaison to one of our dispensaries, ensuring clinical trials are prepared safely and efficaciously, contributing to our legacy of excellence. Through our association with Imperial College London, the Imperial Clinical Research Facility (ICRF), CRUK Imperial Centre, and other research units, we have a global reputation for breaking new ground in clinical and biomedical research.

Main duties of the job
  • Lead, develop, and deliver clinical pharmacy services at Hillingdon Hospital, focusing on critical care and surgical specialties.
  • Participate in specialised clinical pharmacy duties, ensuring core activities are undertaken.
  • Lead pharmacy aspects related to parental nutrition.
  • Work with pharmacy staff and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective, and economical use of medicines.
  • Provide leadership, management, and support roles within the service.
  • Line manage and support junior pharmacists, supporting daily pharmacy operations.
  • Participate in clinical/dispensary rota and bank holiday duties.

Job responsibilities

Band: Ranging from 6 upwards

Working Hours: 9-5

Expected length of the assignment: 3 months with potential extension

Start Date: ASAP

Location: HH/CXH/SMH

Skills required: Sufficient experience and knowledge of GCP and clinical trials. Ability to support day-to-day management of clinical trials within the pharmacy department and Trust R&D team.
