Overview

Role: Bank Advanced Occupational Therapist - Paediatrics - Wheelchair Specialist
Location: The Portland Hospital for Women and Children, Central London
Contract type: Bank
Shifts: Shifts between Monday-Friday/Flexible
Pay: Bank hourly rate £32.80

We're looking for a Paediatric Advanced Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated Bank team at The Portland Hospital. The Portland Hospital is the UK's only private hospital dedicated to the healthcare needs of women and children and is currently rated "Good" by the CQC.

Responsibilities

The right person for the role will have specialist clinical experience assessing for, recommending and fitting wheelchairs for children with complex needs. They will have knowledge of a wide range of wheelchairs to support our inpatient and outpatient team with their complex seating clinics. Familiarity with a variety of models and specifications available through different companies is essential. The hours are part time and can be flexible depending on availability.

Qualifications
  • HCPC registered
  • Relevant Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Experience as Band 7 Paediatric Occupational Therapist
  • Experience working in a hospital environment and inpatients
  • Experience in paediatric wheelchair assessments, provision and fitting
  • Experience in complex seating
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and work as an MDT
