Job summary

METALIS in Sheffield is seeking a Bandsaw Operative to operate bandsaws, read cutting lists and drawings, and inspect materials for accuracy. This full-time role involves loading/unloading materials, performing quality checks, and maintaining a clean, safe working environment. Experience with bandsaw operation and reading technical drawings is essential.

FLT experience is advantageous but not required. Rotating days and afternoons shifts are offered, with training and progression opportunities

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating bandsaws to cut materials to specification
• Reading and interpreting cutting lists and engineering drawings

• Following all health and safety procedures

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience operating a bandsaw
