To provide routine NHS dental treatment to patients referred to the community Dental services specialties of paediatric and special care dentistry.

Full time or part time applicants considered.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide dental care to patient groups within the remit of Salford Community Dental Service, especially those requiring paediatric and special care dentistry.
2. Provide domiciliary care and inhalation sedation to patients referred to Salford Community Dental Service.
3. Work with senior colleagues to provide care under general anaesthesia in Salford Royal hospital.
4. Deliver care from various premises.
5. Maintain responsibility for the working arrangements and standards at the clinic from which services are provided.
6. Uphold high standards of clinical and professional behaviour as required by Salford Community Dental Service.
7. Keep records of your continuing professional education and development.
8. Communicate positively and effectively.
9. Give and receive feedback constructively.

The post requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with a range of individuals including senior managers, medical and dental consultants, primary care practitioners, other health and social care professionals, patients, and their families or carers.
