Job summary

Main duties of the job

  • Lead the Trust in driving value from surplus assets in line with the Long Term Financial Model.
  • Manage budgets for activities related to asset value enhancement, including costing and developing business cases/funding requests.
  • Familiarity with property policies and service priorities in the health and public sectors.
  • Develop understanding of transformation programmes and initiatives for rationalisation, economies, and value generation.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends, strategic delivery models, procurement, governance, and business planning.
  • Represent the Trust in implementing property strategies and major projects, including advising on finance, planning permissions, masterplanning, and project management.

About us

The Trust is reviewing estates strategies, exploring rationalisation, joint ventures, PPPs, and asset management. It is considering investments in new facilities and mechanisms to unlock land value and generate income through property assets. Currently, 50% of the Senior Development Surveyor role is seconded to the Deputy Director of Property.

We seek a Senior Development Surveyor / Asset Manager to support these initiatives. The role involves development consulting, asset management, legal agreements, procurement, project management, estate strategies, acquisitions, disposals, and town planning. A qualified surveyor with relevant experience is required.
