We are looking for an exceptional Senior Operations Manager to join our team at the Royal Free Hospital. This post sits within the Acute Medicine, Emergency Care and Older People Division. This is both a challenging and exciting place to work. While we face the same financial and performance pressures as all NHS Trusts, we are undertaking significant projects to improve healthcare delivery through the UEC Improvement Programme launched in July 2024.
You will be operationally responsible for acute medicine, emergency department and older people's services, including four wards, frailty team, Same day emergency care, Acute assessment Unit and UTC and the recently established Royal Free@Home Virtual Ward. You will be providing leadership with the Divisional Clinical director and Head of Nursing across the Division . You will therefore have well-honed performance management skills coupled with an understanding and appreciation of complex clinical and discharge pathways. You will also head up a range of service development initiatives directly as well as working with and through your teams, colleagues and peers to deliver Divisional wide improvement.
Your ability to engage and lead teams through change and act as an expert negotiator will be vital. You will deliver a selection of productivity schemes and therefore will have strong business management skills coupled with sound financial knowledge.
