Pulse Mental Health Recruitment Agency is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Band 8b Clinical Psychologist with expertise in Older Adult Mental Health (AMH) to join our reputable team in Halifax for an initial period of 6 months. Position Overview: We are looking for a dynamic Band 8b Clinical Psychologist with specialized experience in Adult Mental Health to play a key role in our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advanced psychological assessments, evidence-based interventions, and therapeutic support for individuals experiencing a range of mental health issues in the adult population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and formulate accurate diagnoses for individuals within the Older Adult Mental Health spectrum.
  • Develop and implement individualized and evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address a variety of mental health concerns.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure holistic care for individuals with complex mental health needs.
  • Provide consultation and guidance to junior mental health professionals and contribute to the ongoing professional development of the team.
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments in clinical psychology and Older Adult Mental Health, incorporating best practices into daily clinical work.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, ensuring compliance with relevant professional and regulatory standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Doctoral-level qualification in Clinical Psychology and current registration with the relevant professional body. (HCPC)
  • Extensive experience as a Band 8b Clinical Psychologist with a focus on Older Adult Mental Health.
  • Proven expertise in conducting complex psychological assessments and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a track record of staying informed about the latest research and advancements in Adult Mental Health.
