Band 8a Mammographer Locum – Southwark
Job Title: Band 8a Mammographer
Banding: 8a
Location: Southwark
Working Hours: 09:00 – 17:00
Rate: £37.00 P/H

The radiography team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and skilled Band 8a Mammographer with at least one year of UK experience to join our dynamic team in Southwark. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality radiographic services and ensuring the best care for our patients.

Responsibilities:
As a Band 8a Mammographer, you will be responsible for performing high-quality mammographic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort. You will collaborate with radiologists to interpret imaging results, maintain accurate patient records, and contribute to the quality assurance programme. Additionally, you will educate patients about the mammography process, provide support during examinations, and assist in the training and supervision of junior staff and students. Upholding the highest standards of clinical practice and adhering to relevant protocols and guidelines will be essential in this role, along with participating in audits and continuous professional development.

Requirements:
• Relevant qualification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent.
• Experience in abdomen and pelvic scans.
• Proficiency in using ultrasound machines and associated software.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have HCPC registration and/or Case Accreditation.
• Minimum of 1 year of UK experience as a sonographer in both NHS and private sectors.
