Job Description:
Pulse has recently partnered with one of the UK’s specialist providers of diagnostic and healthcare solutions. We are currently looking for an experienced Band 8a Clinical Pharmacist (Respiratory Medicine), who can provide support for the clinical leadership of the service. This position is based in Lincoln, accessible via public transport.
About the role:
As a Band 8a Clinical Pharmacist, you will work in a clinical and service development capacity to ensure the service to patients is planned, delivered, and evaluated in line with evidence-based practice. You will collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to create and maintain a robust service.

Your main responsibilities as a Band 8a Clinical Pharmacist:
- Provide specialist clinical pharmacist support to designated specialties and other wards/departments as appropriate
- Offer pharmaceutical advice and financial information to nursing, medical, and administrative staff within the Medical Directorate
- Manage and supervise pharmacists, pre-registration pharmacists, and technicians working for the Medical Directorate
- Collaborate with the Pharmacy Education and Training Team to develop and deliver clinical training on medicines in medicine
- Provide professional support for Medicines Information as required; supervise in the Dispensary as needed
What we are looking for in a Band 8a Clinical Pharmacist:
- Registration as a Pharmacist with The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Postgraduate Clinical Diploma and/or equivalent experience
- Some supervisory experience
