Job description

Direct Medics Healthcare Recruitment are seeking a compassionate and skilled Band 8a Clinical Pharmacist to join the Medicine for the Elderly team in the Dundee area. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and deliver pharmacy services to meet the needs of patients within the area of responsibility as defined in the scope and range.

Contract is until mid-August initially with full time hours required (Monday-Friday, 8.30am-4.30pm ). Salary from £45.69 per hour (includes holiday pay).

In this role, you will:

Support the Pharmacists team in providing day to day management of the service.

Planning and undertaking orientation, induction, training and supervision of Clinical Pharmacists, Pre-registration trainee Pharmacy Technicians and Pre-registration Pharmacists working in the department.

Co-ordinating the supply and delivery of medicines to destinations across NHS Tayside, which may include wards, departments, other hospitals and GP practices.

Requirements
Registrant of General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and commitment to CPD.

Post graduate Diploma/MSc in relevant field or demonstrate advanced professional practice knowledge, training.

Independent prescriber or evidence of completing the “preparing to prescribe” requirements of the NES post registration foundation programme.

Significant post registration experience in a relevant field or evidence of transferable skills.

Evidence of contribution to the performance review of members of staff.

Full UK Drivers license and access to a car
