An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust (SABP) and work within Surrey Heath Community Mental Health Recovery Service (CMHRS).
The post offers a diverse range of experience working with people with complex mental health difficulties. You will join a friendly and supportive group of psychologists in the locality and there will be opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills through CPD.
The trust has an enviable care pathways system which values psychology, psychotherapy and the arts psychotherapies and there are opportunities to train in CBT for psychosis, family interventions, CBT for personality disorders, compassion-focussed supervision, EMDR and structured clinical management. Employees are also able to access leadership and management as well as coaching and mentoring specific to psychologists and additional supervisors training.
As a Trust we pride our-selves on our innovative and collaborative approach to providing the highest quality, person-centered care. We have a comprehensive primary care personality disorder services as well as established primary care MH teams working alongside GP practices. We are continuing to develop integrated care pathways across primary and secondary care.
The candidate must have a full and valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
o To assess, plan, implement and evaluate the psychological needs of people using our services.
o To mentor, supervise and teach qualified and unqualified staff including students.
o Promoting a psychological perspective both within teams and sharing with other colleagues.
o Work collaboratively with team managers/ Clinical leads in the development and delivering of effective services.
o The postholder will be expected to work flexibly within the service.
o To lead on complex and challenging cases and develop expertise within area of specialism.
o Participating in the recruitment and selection of staff.
