An exciting new opportunity has been made available for a Band 8a Psychologist to join our esteemed NHS client’s dynamic team in Manchester, Greater Manchester. This role is open to a Principal Clinical or Counselling Psychologist. This vacancy is available on a locum basis for the successful candidate to start immediately for a short-term contract. This vacancy offers competitive rates.

What will your responsibilities be?

The successful candidate will be responsible for deputising for the Lead Psychologist in their absence and taking a key role in service development. You will be responsible for the management of specified team members. You will be responsible for providing robust clinical supervision and support in appraisals and in the professional development of the team. You will be providing evidence based psychological assessment. You will be responsible for the provision of 1:1 and group interventions to patients to address a range of needs. You will be contributing to MDT care planning and review, while contributing to professional development within the team and contributing to audit and research as directed by the line manager. You will also be successful in engaging in CPD.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Qualified Forensic/ Clinical/ Counselling Psychologist.
