Are you an experienced Senior Cardiac Physiologist looking for a rewarding, flexible role? Join our Specialist Cardiac and Respiratory Service in a dynamic part-time position, where you'll make a real impact in community healthcare. We have an exciting part-time opportunity for a Senior Cardiac Physiologist to join the Specialist Cardiac and Respiratory Service. You will cover various locations across north and west Wiltshire alongside Consultant Cardiologists, Heart Failure Specialist Nurses, GPs, and other healthcare professionals regarding patient care as required. You will work in community-based rapid access diagnostic clinics and community heart failure services, performing and reporting high-quality echocardiograms and other non-invasive cardiac investigations.

Main duties of the job
  • Work as an autonomous practitioner within the Community Heart Failure Team, providing non-invasive cardiac investigations, predominantly echocardiography, resting ECGs, and ambulatory monitoring, across North and West Wiltshire.
  • Operate in various community health centre settings, ensuring high standards of clinical imaging and patient-centred care.
  • Perform domiciliary cardiac investigations, mainly echocardiography, on housebound patients as required.
  • Provide clinical supervision, audit, and training to other cardiac physiologists within the Service.

Essential
  • B.Sc. in Clinical Science or related field
  • Extensive post-qualification experience in echocardiography and ECG
  • BSE Accreditation
  • RCCP registration
  • Immediate Life Support Certification
  • Competent in echocardiography procedures, analysis, and reporting
  • Knowledge of cardiac investigations
  • Teaching, assessing, supervising, or managing staff/trainees experience
  • Autonomous practitioner skills
  • Ability to produce detailed technical reports and perform clinical assessments
