Job Title: Band 8a/b Psychologist

Band: 8a/b

Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join our client's team in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. This is a locum position, available immediately for a short-term contract, offering competitive rates.

Responsibilities:

You will be the most senior clinician in the Peterborough-based stepped care therapy team, supporting colleagues in other localities within the Trust. Your role involves clinical work utilizing advanced skills, supervising psychological therapists and operationally supervising OT staff. The role focuses on delivering therapy to older adults with complex psychiatric conditions, primarily functional illnesses with comorbidities. The multidisciplinary team includes psychiatrists and nurses. Clinical work requires face-to-face contact at least three days a week, with some remote work possible. Clinical space at City Care Centre is of high quality, with parking and proximity to the train station.
