Overview

Grade/Band: Band 7

Speciality: SPA Practitioner

Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Embark on an exciting journey with a large team of people dedicated to helping the physical and mental health of people in their local communities, working in different settings and teaming up with others to provide good care as a Band 7 SPA Practitioner.

This temporary role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact within the CAMHS team. With a flexible schedule of 37.5 hours per week, you can work across various shifts, contributing your expertise to support children and young people with complex mental health needs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide dedicated care within the CAMHS team, applying specialist SPA practitioner skills to support children and young people with complex mental health needs.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care across different settings and shifts.
Preferred Requirements
  • Professional Qualification and registration in Social Work, Mental Health Nursing or Occupational Therapy
  • Knowledge and experience of risk assessment and management in different settings
  • Experience of working with children and young people who have complex mental illness and their families and carers, or experience of working within Child maltreatment and abuse and parenting services
  • CAMHS Crisis experience – urgent assessment of high-risk presentations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and support patients and their families
Preferred Qualifications
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
  • Demonstrated expertise in the field of child and adolescent mental health
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
  • Eager to continuously learn and develop your skills to provide the best possible care
