Band 7 Respiratory Physiotherapist - Team Lead

Job summary

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Respiratory Physiotherapist to join our multi-disciplinary team, where you'll have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in the assessment and treatment of patients with chronic respiratory conditions. You will be a key expert, delivering high-quality care and offering guidance to clinicians, healthcare professionals, and Trust managers across internal and external networks.

As a valued team member, you'll collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance patient care, shaping and delivering tailored intervention programs and training in Pulmonary Rehabilitation and outpatient respiratory physiotherapy. You will also contribute to broader medical pathways, expanding your impact on patient outcomes.

You must hold a full UK driving license and have access to a vehicle for this post.

Main duties of the job

1. Lead and deliver Pulmonary Rehabilitation classes across multiple hospital and community venues, including conducting assessments for patients with respiratory diseases.
2. Work autonomously, managing service waiting lists, and overseeing specific areas or patient groups.
3. Plan, coordinate, and evaluate respiratory physiotherapy services across Heartlands, Good Hope, and Solihull hospitals.
4. Deliver specialist assessments for complex respiratory conditions, creating individualized treatment plans.
5. Mentor and collaborate with physiotherapists, respiratory nurses, support staff, and administrative personnel to ensure cohesive care.
6. Engage in audits, research, and contribute to national projects like the NRAP Pulmonary Rehabilitation audit to help secure national accreditation.
