A leading healthcare provider in London seeks an experienced registered nurse to join their transplant clinical team. Responsibilities include assisting with patient management, providing support to transplant patients, and participating in on-call rota for organ donation. Ideal candidates will have acute nursing experience and a passion for patient advocacy. This role offers a chance to make a significant impact in a vital area of healthcare.
This rewarding role requires an experienced registered nurse who has significant experience in an acute nursing role. Hepatology, organ donation, transplant or liver transplant nursing experience may be an advantage but it is not essential. More important is enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work autonomously, acting as an advocate for patients within the multi-disciplinary team.
To assist the transplant clinical team in ensuring that all agreed inpatient management and treatment protocols are carried out promptly and efficiently. To provide specialist advice and support to potential and actual transplant patients and their families. To take part in an on call rota for donor offers and organisation of the recipient operation, in liaison with the medical staff, providing support to the patient’s family during the procedure. To participate in development of standards and protocols and in multidisciplinary audit of the transplant service and in the clinical governance agenda of the Trust. To assist with the administration of the transplant waiting list, assessment admissions and follow-up admissions. To promote the work of the clinical transplant service within the Trust and at external level.
