This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable organization and deliver the highest standards of care.

Note: The Akessa Healthcare does not offer hybrid or remote working. The role is suited for an energetic, enthusiastic, and capable candidate, not applicants seeking a slower pace.

About us:

The Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital, established in Aylesbury in 1832, has provided services to thousands across the region. Ownership transferred to a new management team in January 2023. As a family-owned business, the hospital offers clinical care to private, insured, and NHS patients, with a strong staff care ethos. Our clinical outcomes are of the highest standards, with a recent CQC rating of 'good' across all parameters. We are currently refurbishing our estate, including outpatient areas, radiology services, operating theatres, and endoscopy suites.

The role:
  1. Provide outstanding rehabilitation to patients, both individually and in groups, aligned with hospital goals.
  2. Collaborate with the Director of Operations and Clinical Services to develop rehabilitation services, ensuring hospital leadership in this area.
  3. Ensure excellent communication and consistency between ward and therapy teams to optimize patient recovery.
  4. Contribute to multidisciplinary collaboration across departments.

  6. Promote a caring environment that supports high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance.
  7. Drive service improvements to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
  8. Manage, mentor, and appraise the therapy team, fostering effective communication with patients and relatives.
  9. Establish relationships with external stakeholders to uphold the hospital's reputation.
  10. Coordinate with the Admissions and Discharge team to optimize hospital occupancy.
  11. Represent the therapy team at operational meetings to ensure coordinated service delivery.
  12. Monitor and evaluate the service, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards.

  14. Collect outcome measure data to demonstrate treatment effectiveness.
  15. Assist in patient and relative education to maximize outcomes and prepare for discharge.
Benefits:
  • Good staff-to-patient ratios for less pressure and more patient time.
  • Accessible senior leadership and open management structure.
  • Strong relationships with hospital consultants and staff.
  • Full-time, permanent position with benefits including additional leave, pension, discounts, free flu jabs, and referral programs.
