Job description

Job Title: Orthopaedic Occupational Therapist

Band: Band 7

Location: London, Greater London

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon application

Pulse Healthcare is currently seeking a Band 7 Occupational Therapist with specialised expertise in Orthopaedic care to join our team in London. The post is available to start as soon as possible, offering full-time hours for an ongoing period of 3 months.

Responsibilities:

  • Implementing safe and timely discharge from hospital for patients.
  • Carrying out independent assessments.
  • Educating patients and their relatives/carers about post-operative regimes.
  • Helping to prevent post-operative complications.
  • Prescribing complex equipment such as hoists.
  • Assessing patient progress and rehabilitation.
  • Being professionally and legally responsible for own work.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Be HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Hold a relevant qualification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Previous NHS experience within an intermediate care setting.
  • The ability to build good rapport with patients.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
