Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Operational Manager to lead service delivery for the Op Courage Veterans Mental Health Service across the Southwest. The role requires living within Devon or Cornwall with some travel outside the area.
The post supports a hybrid working model, combining clinical spaces and homeworking, and involves safeguarding, governance and continuous service improvement responsibilities.
Please note that this role covers Devon and Cornwall. The Weston Super Mare address is an admin base and regular travel there is NOT required.
The Southwest Op Courage Veterans Mental Health Service operates across the entire Southwest and has an admin base in Weston-Super-Mare. The service, one of six national NHS England commissioned Op Courage services, is delivered by Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. This role will cover Devon and Cornwall so the postholder will need to live within this area; however, on occasions, it may be necessary to work outside your normal area to support service delivery.
Op Courage provides a complete care pathway and is delivered by a Multi-Disciplinary Team. The pathway starts with a comprehensive needs-led conversation and is followed by evidence-based interventions/treatment for a wide range of need and complexity, from the early signs of mental health problems through to complex mental health difficulties and psychological trauma.
The service is delivered via a hybrid model which includes using clinical spaces, hot-desks and homeworking. Clinical appointments are delivered face to face or virtually, so some lone working will be required. The postholder will also be expected to attend face-to-face team meetings and Trust training which will be within the Op Courage footprint but may be outside their usual working area.
