An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Neuro Clinical Psychologist to join our esteemed NHS client’s dynamic team based in Wembley, Greater London. This position is available for an immediate start, offering competitive rates.
Key Responsibilities:
The Neuropsychologist will conduct comprehensive neuropsychological assessments, evaluating cognitive functions and identifying neurological conditions. They will develop and implement individualised treatment plans to address cognitive deficits and improve patients’ quality of life. Providing therapeutic interventions, including cognitive rehabilitation and behavioural strategies, is a core part of the role. The neuropsychologist will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care and effective discharge planning. Educating patients and their families about neurological conditions, treatment plans, and strategies for managing symptoms is essential. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting progress, and adjusting treatment plans as necessary is crucial. Participation in team meetings, case conferences, and contributing to service development initiatives are expected. Providing supervision and support to junior staff and students, as well as engaging in continuous professional development activities to stay current with best practices in neuropsychology, are also important aspects of the role. Additionally, conducting Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R) assessments will be part of the responsibilities.
