A leading healthcare provider in Camden Town is seeking a Ward Manager to ensure the safe delivery of nursing care in line with established protocols and high standards. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and demonstrate experience in team management, evidence-based practices, and the ability to lead a dedicated staff in a challenging environment. This role may require flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends.
Hours: 40 plus break, on occasion additional hours may be required to undertake the role well. Under Labour Law, the hours must not exceed 48. Flexibility will be required and it is expected that some evening, weekend or night shifts may be required from the postholder.

The Ward Manager has overall responsibility for the safe and effective delivery of care within the ward, in line with organisational policies, local regulations, and international best practice. The post-holder will: Lead, support, and develop the nursing team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care. Oversee clinical standards, operational management, and effective use of resources. Promote a culture of safety, patient-centred care and multidisciplinary collaboration. Uphold the reputation of Maudsley Health, MACANI, and South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust through professional leadership and exemplary practice.

As the service is developing, a degree of flexibility and creativity will be required together with an appreciation of relevant cultural issues. Of greatest importance is the ability to deliver high quality, evidence-based and compassionate care. The ability to speak Arabic is an advantage but is not essential. The successful applicants will need to fulfil the professional registration requirements of the relevant Emirate.

South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) is working with MACANI, a highly respected Abu Dhabi based organisation with a mission to develop and extend high quality mental health care across the United Arab Emirates. Maudsley Health is now progressing significant developments across the spectrum of mental health care in the Middle East. The aim is to replicate the high quality of the specialist services within SLaM. As a result, we are looking for additional experienced, high-quality nursing staff. If you have a flexible approach, use evidence base practice and want to spend your time engaging positively with patients, we would be pleased to have an initial discussion with you. A thorough induction programme will be offered along with a commitment to continuing professional development.
