Are you an experienced Histopathology Biomedical Scientist looking for your next locum opportunity?

We are currently partnering with a leading private laboratory in London seeking a Band 7 Locum Biomedical Scientist to join their Histopathology team, with a focus on both routine histology and immunohistochemistry (IHC).

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a well-equipped private setting, delivering high-quality diagnostics alongside a team of skilled professionals.

Role: Locum Band 7 Biomedical Scientist – Histopathology

Location: London (Private Laboratory)

Pay Rate: £30–£40 per hour (dependent on experience)

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Ongoing

Hours: Monday to Friday, full-time

Key Responsibilities:

High-volume microtomy, embedding, and routine staining

Performing and troubleshooting Immunohistochemistry (IHC) protocols

Operating and maintaining histology instruments (e.g., Leica or Thermo microtomes)

Ensuring compliance with laboratory quality standards and turnaround times

Requirements:

HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist

Minimum 2 years UK experience in Histopathology, including IHC
