Job Title: Locum Cardiac Physiologist

Banding: 7

Location: Bolton

Start: ASAP

Duration: Full time

Rate: £45–£50

Working hours: Monday – Friday

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Locum Cardiac Physiologist to join our team in Bolton. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing specialized cardiac diagnostic services. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of cardiac procedures, with a focus on pacing and devices, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct a variety of cardiac procedures, including pacemaker and ICD implantation, follow-up, and troubleshooting.
  • Work closely with patients to explain procedures, ensure their comfort, and accurately record test results.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret test results and contribute to patient care plans.
  • Maintain and calibrate equipment, adhere to clinical protocols, and stay updated with advancements in cardiac pacing and devices.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities.
  • Assist in training and supervising junior staff.
  • Contribute to departmental policies and procedures development.
  • Provide patient education on device management and heart health.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree in Cardiac Physiology or related field
  • HCPC registration
  • Extensive experience in cardiac pacing and devices
  • Proficiency in pacemaker and ICD procedures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in recording test results
