Job summary

The Wiltshire Talking Therapies Service is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and qualified High Intensity Therapist to join our expanding service to help meet the increasing demand for Step 3 CBT.

We offer a hybrid working arrangement, with bases in Devizes or Salisbury, combined with opportunities for remote working from home.

Main duties of the job

You will provide specialist psychological therapy for anxiety and depression within the NHS Talking Therapies service, including assessments and therapy using the specified NHS model.

You will also provide professional and clinical supervision to team members.

Applicants must hold the NHS Talking Therapies High Intensity CBT Postgraduate Diploma and be accredited with BABCP.

  • Provide specialist psychological assessments and treatments within the NHS Talking Therapies service.

Professional:

  • Offer professional and clinical supervision to team members.

Communications and Relationships:

  • Communicate effectively and sensitively regarding client assessments, formulations, and treatment plans.

Teaching, training, and supervision:

  • Receive regular supervision from qualified colleagues.
  • Develop skills in postgraduate teaching, training, and supervision.
  • Supervise Trainee High Intensity Therapists, Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, and Assistant Psychologists, where appropriate.
Person Specification
Qualifications
  • Recognized postgraduate training in psychological therapy.
Qualifications
  • Full BABCP accreditation or eligibility, including BPS/CPC and BABCP eligibility; CBT supervisor qualification or eligibility to train as one.
Experience
  • Experience in psychological assessment and treatment within NHS Talking Therapies.
  • Experience working with diverse client groups and issues.
Skills
  • Mobility for travel across dispersed areas, with limited public transport access.
