An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, qualified radiographer to join the Imaging leadership team. This role is suited to a senior radiographer who has experience in management or is keen to make that next step into leadership. Support and training will be given as and when required. You would be responsible for the day-to-day organisation, management, supervision and training of clinical staff in Digital Radiography.
This post is based at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital and will have a focus on the Emergency Department and Inpatient Imaging, although cross-cover of other areas as required by the service is expected. There are 3 main areas of imaging at BHH; ED, in-patients and HTC, each area will require a clinical team leader. It is essential that the candidate works collaboratively with the clinical team leaders within the other areas as well as the Imaging Team Leader to ensure delivery of a quality service across all parts of the hospital.
The successful candidate will ensure a high-quality service to patients, via their own clinical practice and supporting junior radiographers, always using best practice, promoting a positive patient experience.
The post holder will be responsible for the management and leadership of the DR Imaging service with responsibility for organising workload and staffing in their designated area.
The post holder will ensure operational standards are met to ensure effective and progressive service delivery.
Effective communication with other clinical team leads and imaging team leader is essential to ensure staffing levels are managed appropriately ensuring a safe, efficient and responsive service.
