Job summary
Are you an allied health professional looking to enhance both you clinical as well as leadership skills?
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a clinical service lead in a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation team comprising occupational therapists, physiotherapists, therapy assistance practitioners and rehab therapy workers. The team provides essential community rehab services for adults and aims to maximise independence and quality of life to individuals referred.
You will be responsible for the clinical leadership as well as line management of the Bath West Team and will join the existing clinical lead for Bath East Team. The successful applicant will guide therapy staff in providing person centres evidenced-base practice. Will be a leader in service development and take a dynamic approach to meeting the challenges of a changing healthcare landscape.
This is a full-time post 37.5 hours a week and you will be based predominantly at St Martins Hospital. Core hours are 8am to 4pm and we run a 7 day a week service. There would be an expectation to work one weekend a month.

Main duties of the jobThe main responsibilities of the post holder will be to provide clinical leadership and support to the Bath Reablement Service.

Key Responsibilities (not exhaustive):
Share expertise and foster interdisciplinary collaboration to deliver person-centred care.
Embed national and local best practices into daily operations.
Assess and manage complex cases using evidence-based approaches.
Offer specialist input to teams and contribute to effective case management and system flow.
Maintain a small caseload within a multidisciplinary team to support optimal rehabilitation.
Provide clinical leadership, mentoring, and support staff development.
Promote safeguarding awareness and communicate policy updates clearly.
Engage in professional development and support staff recruitment.
Help shape future service design and workforce planning.
Champion partnership working and ensure robust systems support quality care delivery.
Monitor performance, contribute to audits, and support continuous improvement.
Maintain clear, responsive communication across teams and with service users.
Attend professional meetings and lead on investigations or reviews when required.
Collaborate closely with professional leads and senior managers to support service leadership.
