Job summary

Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a clinical professional to conduct neuropsychological assessments for service users with complex presentations, including potential dementia, to support accurate diagnoses and care planning.

The post holder will select, administer and interpret appropriate tests, contribute to audit and development of the Memory Assessment Service, and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting neuropsychological assessments and selecting appropriate tests.
• Ability to interpret assessment results to inform diagnosis and care planning.
• Participation in service audit, evaluation, and development.

Job description

The postholder will work with Service Users with the more complex presentations, which may include younger people, those with atypical or unusual presentations to compete a comprehensive assessment with a view reaching an outcome, including a diagnosis of dementia. The postholder will complete neuropsychological assessments, ensuring the appropriate tests are selected, administered and interpreted. The postholder will contribute to ongoing service audit, evaluation and development within the Memory Assessment Service.
