A leading NHS trust in the UK is seeking a specialist practitioner to develop their Cardiac Rehabilitation Service. You will be responsible for patient care, assessing and delivering rehabilitation plans, and managing resources. In collaboration with senior members of the cardiology clinical and operational team, develop the Cardiac Rehabilitation Service to best meet the needs of our patients, ensuring equality of access and world-class care, including the development of virtual Cardiac Rehabilitation classes.
The post holder will be responsible for all aspects of patient care in the Cardiac Rehabilitation service, including assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of individual Cardiac Rehabilitation plans.
The post holder will play an essential role in providing a comprehensive cardiac rehabilitation service that enables patients with cardiac disease to maximize their recovery potential, improve quality of life, and minimize future risk factors.
Work autonomously as a specialist practitioner in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsible for supervising and developing all staff, including student nurses and support workers, providing support, advice, and training. Effectively manage service resources and staffing to ensure smooth operation.
In collaboration with the Lead Nurse, audit clinical guidelines, policies, and benchmarks within the area of clinical responsibility.
