Band 7 Biomedical Scientist Biochemistry Locum – Manchester

• Position: Biochemistry
• Banding: 7
• Location: Manchester
• Duration: 3 months
• Rate: £25.00 – £27.00 per hour
• Hours: Shifts between 9 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday

Job Description:

The Biomedical Science team at Pulse is currently recruiting a Band 7 Biomedical Scientist in Biochemistry to work in a busy hospital in Manchester. We are looking for a Biomedical Scientist who can make a real difference in supporting the laboratory service. This is a temporary contract with a rate of £25.00 – £27.00 per hour.

You will be required to process Biochemistry samples using c8000 equipment and perform technical validation of test results. You will need to process samples in a timely manner to meet target test result turnaround times.

Essential Requirements:

• HCPC registered
• UK NHS or private sector Biochemistry laboratory experience
• Biomedical science qualification
• At least 2 years of post-registration experience
• Pathology experience is required
• Experience working with Hive/Beaker
• IBM’s portfolio for a Band 6 is required
