We have a fantastic new opportunity here at Portsmouth Hospital NHS Trust Audiology department. We are recruiting a full-time, permanent, Band 7 Audiologist or Clinical Scientist to lead our Vestibular assessment and rehabilitation service. We are looking for an experienced Audiologist to lead our vestibular testing and rehabilitation service, and line manage a team of Audiologists involved in this service. You will be able to fully utilise their excellent experience in routine adult assessment and rehabilitation, or paediatric assessment and be eligible for AHCS (RCCP) or HCPC registration. Opportunities are available in other areas of Audiology including complex adults, tinnitus management and paediatrics. Excellent clinical, communication and organisational skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
Independent clinical testing, decision making and reporting for vestibular assessment and rehabilitation patients.
Independent clinical testing, decision making and reporting for adult assessment and rehabilitation patients including fitting and verifying hearing aids, and appropriate onward referral.
Opportunities are available in Paediatric Audiology services if desired.
Day to day management of relevant clinical and administrative functions of the Portsmouth Audiology Service, ensuring the Audiology service maintains the highest possible standards of care, and clinical and management decisions are effectively communicated throughout the audiology service.
Overall patient management including liaison with other professions including ENT, AVM, paediatrics, health visitors, GPs, Education and Social Services.
You will be looking for a Trust that will enable you to grow and assist more junior members of the team; we are also a busy training department so this role will involve supervision of students on the STP and HTS. There are opportunities to be involved with service review and development and we would be delighted to showcase these opportunities and show you around our department.
The department provides a wide variety of Audiology services. We cover a large geographical area with clinics in Hampshire, western West Sussex and the Isle of Wight. Applications for part-time hours will be considered.
