Job Title: Band 7/8a CAMHS Psychologist
Band:7/8a
Location:Wallington, Surrey
Working Hours: 37.5 hours

An exciting new opportunity has been made available for a Band 7/8a CAMHS Psychologist to join our esteemed NHS client’s dynamic team in Wallington, Surrey. This vacancy is available on a locum basis for the successful candidate to start immediately for a short-term contract. This vacancy offers competitive rates.

What will your responsibilities be?

In this role, you will promote highly specialist psychological services and skills to the team. Collaborating with schools, you will implement a whole school approach to mental health, including staff consultation and training. Providing advice on clients’ psychological care, you will follow Trust guidelines and a clear CAMHS job plan. Offering clinical supervision to EWPs and the band 7 post, you will focus on CBT models and parenting approaches. Supporting clinical practice and user experience, you will promote the use of measures within supervision and meetings. Direct interventions with 5 to 11-year-olds and their parents in primary schools, and 11 to 18-year-olds in secondary schools, will address trauma and challenging behaviours. Leading on clinical risk management and safeguarding issues will be key. Including service user perspectives, you will influence service delivery. Utilising research skills, you will evaluate practices and develop services as per the job plan. Collaborating with the consultant clinical lead and school cluster lead, you will enhance mental health access and support across schools.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • HCPC registration
  • CAMHS ASD/ADOS/ADI-R/DISCO
  • Must have previous work experience in a CAMHS environment
