Working Hours:37.5 hours

An exciting new opportunity has been made available for a Band 7/8a CAMHS Clinical Psychologist to join our esteemed NHS client’s dynamic team in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire. This vacancy is available on a locum basis for the successful candidate to start immediately for a short-term contract. This vacancy offers competitive rates.

What will your responsibilities be?

The CAMHS Clinical Psychologist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions to children, adolescents, and their families. This role involves face-to-face consultations to diagnose and treat a variety of mental health conditions, as well as collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalised care plans. The psychologist will provide support and guidance to both patients and their families, facilitate group therapy sessions, and contribute to service development initiatives. Additionally, the role includes participating in clinical supervision, training, and continuous professional development to ensure the delivery of high-quality care. A deep understanding of child and adolescent mental health issues and a commitment to fostering a supportive and therapeutic environment are essential.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • HCPC registration
  • Relevant clinical experience working with children or young people.
  • Experience in conducting psychological assessments and delivering therapeutic interventions.
