Job Summary
Swansea Bay University Health Board Radiology services are provided across three main sites: Morriston (Swansea), Singleton (Swansea), and Neath Port Talbot Hospitals.
We are seeking a Band 6 Diagnostic Radiographer to support Radiology theatre & general services at the Neath Port Talbot site, joining the busy multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Diagnostic Radiographer with current HCPC registration.
Main duties of the job
This role involves General & Theatre Radiology and includes training opportunities to complement our team. Responsibilities include participation in the main out-of-hours rota. Candidates should have significant radiography experience, hold a BSc / DCR qualification, demonstrate organizational and leadership skills, and be capable of working independently and within a team. The role requires liaising with Theatre staff, organizing the radiography theatre team, and serving as the Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) for theatre.
The department performs a broad range of procedures including plain film x-ray, Nuclear Medicine, Fluoroscopy, Angiography, Theatre, Cardiology, MRI, and CT. We are committed to staff training and development, with involvement in teaching undergraduate radiography students from the University Hospital of Wales.
