Job description
Overview

We are looking for a Stroke Physiotherapist to join our therapy team. This is a full-time post, working 30.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will participate in the therapy seven-day working rota on a 1:6 basis, with compensatory rest days provided in the following week, and contribute to the on-call service.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with stroke patients and will be involved in providing physiotherapy to inpatients as well as supporting outpatient clinics in close collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team.

We offer training opportunities to help you develop your specialist skills in line with your Personal Development Review, as well as leadership training opportunities and access to externally funded courses.

Main duties and responsibilities
  • Provide physiotherapy to stroke inpatients and support outpatient clinics, in close collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including group and personalized sessions.
  • Engage in the seven-day rota (1:6) with compensatory rest days and participate in on-call duties as required.
  • Contribute to ongoing service development and improvement, including working towards SSNAP targets and integrated stroke pathways to support CQUIN objectives.
  • Collaborate with occupational therapy colleagues and other allied health professionals; work closely with the wider MDT.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities, including local specialist skill development, leadership training, and access to externally funded courses.
Qualifications and experience
  • Experience of working with stroke patients and delivering physiotherapy to both inpatients and outpatient settings.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and to contribute to stroke pathways and service improvement.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and attendance at relevant training and development opportunities.
