Job Title: Stroke Occupational Therapist
Banding: Band 6
Location: Derby, Derbyshire
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon application

Our NHS client is looking for an experienced and caring Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join their stroke service team based in Derby, Derbyshire. The post is available to start as soon as possible, offering full-time hours for a short term contract.

What will your responsibilities be?

The appointed Therapist will be part of the interdisciplinary team (IDT) delivering high quality specialist occupational therapy for clients by adherence to clinical governance and evidence-based practice. The postholder will provide service in a range of community settings using highly developed specialist practice underpinned by theoretical knowledge/neuro qualifications. Applying therapists should have previous experience in Stroke to be considered for this role.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Be HCPC registered as an Occupational therapist
  • Hold a relevant qualification in Occupational therapy
  • Previous NHS experience within an intermediate care setting
  • The ability to build good rapport with patients
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
