The AHP team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech & Language Therapist to join our team in Tonbridge. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech & Language Therapist to join our team at a brand new, state-of-the-art independent specialist school in Tonbridge. This purpose-built school caters primarily to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger’s, and Speech, Language, and Communication needs, providing education for up to 72 children aged 8 to 16.

Role Overview:

As a crucial part of our multi-disciplinary clinical team, you will support educational and residential colleagues to create therapeutic living and learning environments. Based on clinical assessment and formulation, you will offer individualized interventions and engagement to our young people. Our Speech & Language Therapists work collaboratively within our schools and children’s homes, ensuring that therapeutic support permeates every aspect of the education, care, and support we offer.

Your main responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist:

You will provide therapeutic interventions to children and young people with complex needs. You will support teams around each child to ensure clinically informed living and learning environments. You will offer consultation, workshops, training, and guidance to educational and residential teams. You will engage in clinical assessment and formulation to develop individualized intervention plans.

What we are looking for in a Speech and Language Therapist:

  • Qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC.
  • Specialist with proven skills and experience in delivering therapeutic interventions to children and young people with complex needs.
  • Experience in supporting teams around a child or young person to ensure clinically informed living and learning environments.
  • Confident, engaging, and effective model, guide, leader, and trainer.
  • Highly organized and proactive.
  • Committed to ensuring the best outcomes for young people.
