The AHP team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech & Language Therapist to join our team in Bristol. Our clinicians are fulfilled by the idea of affecting even the smallest positive changes in our young people, so we celebrate the little things.
Our newly opened, purpose-built, state-of-the-art school caters primarily to children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, as well as children with autism who have moderate learning needs. The school provides education for up to 50 children aged 8 to 16.
Role Overview:
As part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team, you will support educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments. Based on clinical assessment and formulation, you will offer individualized interventions and engagement to our young people.
Our Speech & Language Therapists work collaboratively within our schools and children’s homes, ensuring that therapeutic support permeates every aspect of the education, care, and support we offer. You will provide consultation, workshops, training, and guidance to the educational and residential teams around our children.
Your main responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist:
You will provide therapeutic interventions to children and young people with complex needs. You will support teams around each child to ensure clinically informed living and learning environments. You will offer consultation, workshops, training, and guidance to educational and residential teams. You will engage in clinical assessment and formulation to develop individualized intervention plans.
