Qualifications

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a dedicated Speech & Language Therapist to join their team at Pontville School in Ormskirk. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a large supportive multi-disciplinary team in a setting that prioritises therapeutic care and education for young people with complex needs. Key Responsibilities

This role is based atPontville School. You will be working as part of a large MDT and within an embedded Speech Therapy School is an independent specialist day school providing quality education with a focus on speech language and social communication. Many of their pupils are autistic with high levels of anxiety.

Their clinicians are a crucial part of the most joined-up model in SEND. Across all of their specialist schools and childrens homes they provide unrivalled levels of clinical support both in terms of their expertise andbreadth of provision. The young people present with a complexity of need including developmental trauma neuro-developmental conditions and special educational needs.

As part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team you will be supporting educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments and based on clinical assessment and formulation offer individualised interventions and engagement to our young people. Youll also be assessing their mental health and recommend appropriate interventions in a personalised care plan. Building rapport is key by doing this youll be able to deliver effective counselling and feedback on progress.
