Qualifications

  • Diplôme reconnu en orthophonie ou équivalent.
  • Inscrit auprès de l'HCPC.
  • Formation postuniversitaire en dysphagie et expérience pertinente.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Band 6/7 Speech and Language Therapist

Location: Abingdon Community Hospital, Marcham Road, Abingdon, OX14 1AG

Ward: Therapy Team

Pay Rates: from £22.99 per hour

Shift Patterns: 37.5 hours, Mon - Fri, 8:30 - 16:30

Main duties of the job
  • Work as part of the speech and language therapy team within the post-acute specialist stroke rehabilitation unit, providing high-quality rehabilitation services to patients on the Oxfordshire stroke pathway.
  • Support patients and their families, as part of a multidisciplinary team, to understand and manage their communication and/or swallowing conditions.
  • Take responsibility for providing speech and language therapy services and enable safe and supported discharge into the community.
  • Contribute to clinical projects and developments in stroke rehabilitation.

Person Specification
Qualifications
  • Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent.
  • Registered with HCPC.
Experience
  • Postgraduate training in dysphagia and at least 2 years of postgraduate experience working with dysphagia.
