A leading healthcare provider in Abingdon is seeking a motivated Band 6/7 Speech and Language Therapist to join their specialized stroke rehabilitation team. The ideal candidate will have a recognized degree, be HCPC registered, and possess experience in dysphagia. This role offers a chance to support patients in managing communication and swallowing conditions, contributing to their recovery and safe discharge into the community. Work as part of the speech and languagetherapy team within the post-acute specialist stroke rehabilitation unit,providing a high-quality rehabilitation service to patients on the Oxfordshirestroke pathway.
Support patients and theirfamilies, as part of a multi-disciplinary team, to understand and manage theircommunication and/or swallowing conditions.
Have day to dayresponsibility for providing a speech and language therapy service and toenable safe and supported discharge into the community.
Contribute to clinical projects/developmentsin stroke rehabilitation.
