Job description

Are you an experienced Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist looking to become part of a multidisciplinary therapy team for a SEND school?

I am seeking a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join a permanent multidisciplinary therapy team at a beautiful SEND school specializing in ASD and complex needs.

Main responsibilities for Speech and Language Therapist role:
  1. Assessment and intervention planning
  2. Group and individual therapy as required
  3. Working within classes and providing consultative support as part of the multidisciplinary team
  4. Development and implementation of training for staff and other professionals
  5. Report writing and record keeping
Requirements for Speech and Language Therapists:
  1. Highly motivated, passionate, dynamic, and flexible
  2. Understanding of the value of using an ABA methodology
  3. Desire to grow with the school and become a fully immersed team member
  4. Relevant experience working with young people with special needs, especially autism spectrum disorder
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  6. Registered with RCSLT and HCPC or working towards registration
  7. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
