Job Description:

Working as a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist, you will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to building students' confidence.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Providing high-quality educational experiences to young people.
• Helping to shape a developing service whilst enhancing your own clinical skills.
• Working within a specialist clinical area with support and supervision of a more senior SaLT for more complex cases.
• Contributing to service-specific projects.
• Using evidence-based practice, student-centered principles and clinical reasoning to assess, plan, implement and evaluate intervention.
• Working closely with students, their peers and families.
• Being aware of and complying with responsibilities regarding risk management and safeguarding, and looking for ways to improve, taking action as required.

Requirements:

• Speech and Language Therapy qualification.
• Experience working with young people.
• Excellent communication and written ability.
• Ability to work flexibly.
• A thorough understanding of the wider issues related to supporting children with profound and severe needs.
