Key responsibilities include:
We’re an organization that is continually improving, driven by a determination to deliver care we’re proud of and that our patients are satisfied with. We’ve recently opened two new theatres at our Elective Surgical Hub in King George Hospital (KGH), and our Chief Executive, Matthew Trainer, has been named the top CEO by the Health Service Journal.
Our main sites are KGH in Goodmayes and Queen’s Hospital in Romford, with busy emergency departments serving over 330,000 visitors last year. We are campaigning for the £35m needed to transform the A&E at Queen’s and eliminate corridor care.
Our patients benefit from services like the Women’s Health Hub in Ilford, the Ageing Well Centre in Hornchurch, and Community Diagnostic Centres at Barking Community Hospital and St George’s Health and Wellbeing Hub in Hornchurch. These centres operate 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing an additional 88,000 scans annually.
Our staff, over 8,000 from 146 countries, come from diverse backgrounds across the three London boroughs we serve. Many work flexibly, and over 400 are enrolled in our Ofsted-accredited apprenticeship programs. We are proud to be a London Living Wage employer.
We are excited to introduce an electronic patient record system that will benefit both staff and patients.
