Job Title: Band 6 Social Worker – South London

Location: South London

Rate: £31 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Take personal responsibility for continuing professional development and maintaining performance levels.
  • Manage your time effectively and respond flexibly to service needs.
  • Provide support and cover for the Team Manager and/or Principal Manager.
  • Participate in performance management activities, including supervision, PAR, team meetings, and service reviews.
  • Follow departmental health and safety procedures.
  • Develop skills through work experience in various divisional situations such as secondments, job rotation, and shadowing.
  • Contribute to information management processes.
  • Support social work students on placement under the guidance of the Principal or Practice Manager, acting as a workplace supervisor or Practice Teacher if trained.
  • Understand and integrate key policies related to social care with children and families, especially multi-disciplinary working, integration, and whole family approaches.
