Our organization is continuously improving, driven by a commitment to delivering quality care. We are no longer in special measures, have expanded with new theatres at King George Hospital, and our CEO was named top in 2024.
We operate from two main sites: KGH in Goodmayes and Queen’s Hospital in Romford, with busy emergency departments serving over 330,000 visitors last year. We are advocating for £35m to transform Queen’s A&E and eliminate corridor care.
Our services include Women’s Health in Ilford, an Ageing Well Centre in Hornchurch, and Community Diagnostic Centres at Barking Hospital and St George’s Hub, providing extensive diagnostic services.
Our diverse staff of 8,000, from 146 countries, work flexibly across the boroughs, many in apprenticeship programs. We are proud to be a London Living Wage employer and are preparing to implement a transformative electronic patient record system.
