Our Unit is looking for you! Want to work in a fast paced, dynamic clinical environment?
Would you like to develop specialist surgical intensive care and pathway-based high dependency nursing skills and knowledge? Do you like to be challenged and think autonomously? If so, we have vacancies for band 6 s on our OIR (Overnight Intensive Recovery).
OIR is an 11-bedded unit that manages level three patients post operatively. These patients include elective cardiac, gastrointestinal, general surgical and vascular. They require highly specialist care including ventilation, pacing, inotropic support and advanced monitoring including spinal drains and Intra Aortic Balloon Pump.

Main duties of the job
We offer a personalised induction programme with supervision and support from our dedicated practice development team and one-to-one support from the senior nursing team. You will have practical and academic support to advance your knowledge and skills in caring for complex patients. You will also be offered additional courses to advance your leadership and clinical skills to enable you to be the best you can be.
We are looking for nurses with a willingness to learn, that thrive under pressure and have the ability to adapt and refine their skills according to the demands of the unit.
