A leading healthcare provider in London seeks a Senior Staff Nurse to join their Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will have well-developed triage skills and experience in a multidisciplinary team. As a senior staff nurse, you will be required to have well-developed triage skills and experience coordinating different areas of the emergency department, including the resuscitation areas. Our department has a co-located Urgent Care Centre, a children's Emergency Department, CDU, and SDEC service. We provide our own accredited emergency care course for both adults and children, which includes level 1 trauma and can be taken at both degree and master's levels.

As a senior staff nurse, you will be required to support the senior and junior team in ensuring the needs of our patients are met through the delivery of high-quality care. The role involves working as part of a large multidisciplinary team, including the ED medical team, clinical practice educators, safeguarding, mental health liaison team, and clinical specialties.
The SSN works clinically, including unsocial hours, and will be expected to work competently in all areas of the Emergency Department, as well as being able to independently take charge of them. The Senior Staff Nurse will assist their Team leader with managing their own team of nurses and ensuring they meet their potential.
