Join our Pharmacy Team at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust and play a key role in leading and developing high-quality clinical pharmacy and patient services across our hospitals.
We are looking for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician, registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) registered, to lead and support clinical and patient services. You will help ensure patients receive safe, effective and timely access to medicines throughout their hospital stay.
You will provide operational leadership for clinical and patient services, oversee medicines reconciliation and discharge processes, contribute to service improvement projects/audits, and support training and development of our pharmacy workforce. The role offers an opportunity to influence service delivery while further developing your leadership and clinical skills.
You will need to have excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills, together with the ability to motivate others and manage competing priorities within a busy acute Trust environment.
You will also be required to work weekends and bank holiday shifts via a rota.
To assist the Specialist Pharmacy Technician, Clinical & Dispensary Manager in leading, managing and organising clinical pharmacy technical services & patients services to all areas in the hospital. To be responsible for updating relevant procedures and supporting development of clinical and patient services provided by pharmacy technician and pharmacy assistants as well as management of stock. Lead on audits and reviews relevant to the role as well as supervising and training staff.

We run a Women’s Health Hub in Ilford; an Ageing Well Centre in Hornchurch; and Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC) at Barking Community Hospital and at St George’s Health and Wellbeing Hub. These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week.
