Across the sites of Barking and Dagenham, Havering, and Redbridge University Hospitals Trust (BHRUT), we are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Physiotherapist with a special interest in Orthopaedics to join our friendly and highly skilled team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and support staff on a full-time basis.

The post will include rotations in trauma, community, and elective inpatients.

The successful candidate will be able to provide a high standard of physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for their patients, as well as having excellent communication skills. The post involves close working with the MDT to provide evidence-based, patient-centred care in a variety of settings. In return, you will receive regular supervision and support, as well as training and career development opportunities.

We are a dynamic and driven service, with lots of opportunities for involvement in service development as we work towards establishing the best care and treatment for our patients throughout their journey at BHRUT.

The post will include weekend and twilight working.

Key Responsibilities:

1. To provide a high standard of physiotherapy service, as determined by your area of speciality, facilitating and maximising patient potential within the service boundaries.
2. To fulfil a teaching and supervisory role with peers, Band 5 staff, and students on placement.

Our patients benefit from the Women’s Health Hub in Ilford, the Ageing Well Centre in Hornchurch, and Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC) at Barking Community Hospital and St George’s Health and Wellbeing Hub in Hornchurch.

These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing an extra 88,000 scans annually.

The majority of our 8,000 staff come from 146 different countries, representing diverse backgrounds. Many work flexibly, and over 400 are enrolled in our Ofsted-accredited apprenticeship programmes. We are proud to be a London Living Wage employer.
